    Your Data Stays Yours

SleepSafe was built around a simple principle: what happens in your bedroom is your business.

    Your Data Stays Yours

Sleep is personal. How your body moves, how your heart rate shifts, what your sleep looks like: it is not the kind of information you want floating around on someone else's servers.

So here is exactly how SleepSafe works.

Your data lives in your iCloud, not ours

SleepSafe has no servers. There is no SleepSafe database with your sleep history in it. When you open the app and see your sessions, that data comes directly from your own iCloud account, the same place your photos and contacts live. We never see it. Nobody at SleepSafe can access it.

This also means you never need to create an account or set a password. If you get a new phone, your history is just there. If you delete the app, your data stays in your iCloud until you choose to remove it.

    Everything runs on your device

The detection that happens while you sleep (monitoring your heart rate, recognising the signs of a nightmare, sending a gentle vibration to your wrist) all runs locally on your Apple Watch and iPhone. Nothing is sent anywhere in order for it to work.

This means SleepSafe works fully offline too. No internet connection needed. You can even use it on a long flight without any issues. Worth noting: settings and data sync between your iPhone and Apple Watch through iCloud, so if you are offline, changes may take a little while to appear once you reconnect.

    No AI

SleepSafe does not use AI. There are no external services analysing your sleep. The models that power the detection are built into the app itself and run entirely on your own devices.

"Sleep is intensely personal," says Oliver Hebnes, SleepSafe's founder. "People need to trust that what happens while they're unconscious stays private. That was non-negotiable from day one."
