    SleepSafe uses a sophisticated statistical model that analyzes three key indicators: heart rate from your Apple Watch, movement patterns during sleep, and audio signatures detected through secure on-device processing. This multi-sensor approach allows us to accurately identify distress during sleep.
    No, our interventions are specifically designed to be subtle. We use gentle haptic patterns on your Apple Watch that guide your nervous system away from the nightmare without bringing you to full consciousness. And of course - you can always adjust the intensity in settings.
    All processing happens locally on your iPhone and your Apple Watch. No data leaves your device. We don't even require an account to use the app.
    SleepSafe is optimized to use less than 30% of your Apple Watch battery during an 8-hour sleep session. Most users can easily get through the night with a 50% charge.
    SleepSafe is designed to detect nightmares and night terrors/sleep terrors specifically. While it may help with sleep quality overall, it's not a medical device and doesn't diagnose or treat sleep disorders. Always consult your doctor for medical conditions.

    They're actually quite different! Nightmares happen during REM sleep (late night), while night terrors occur during deep sleep (early night).
